TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TEMPLATE PURCHASE

These terms and conditions govern the purchase of DIY Showit website templates from Lains Creative, East Molesey, Surrey ("Lains Creative," "I," "me," "my"). My contact email is lucy@lainscreative.co.uk. "You" and "your" refers to the purchaser of any template or related product.
By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. These terms are legally binding whether or not you have read them in full. If you do not agree, please contact me before completing your purchase.
I reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version.
1. Digital Product & No Refunds
All templates are digital products. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all sales are final and refunds will not be issued, including in cases of change of mind, incompatibility with your content, or failure to use the product. Please review all template details carefully before purchasing.
2. Cancellation Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days unless you have consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged that your right to cancel is waived once access has begun. By completing your purchase, you expressly request immediate delivery of the template and acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel is waived as soon as your share code has been sent to your email address.

Your purchase grants you a single, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use this template for one website only. This means:

You may not use this template for any unlawful, misleading, or harmful purpose. Use of this template in connection with any illegal activity, or in a way that infringes the rights of any third party, constitutes a material breach of this licence.
5. Platform Requirements
These templates are built exclusively for Showit and will not function on any other platform. A paid Showit subscription is required and is not included in the purchase price. Your domain name is also not included. Showit is a third-party platform and any changes to its functionality, pricing, or availability are outside of my control.
6. Template Delivery
Your template share code will be sent to your purchase email address within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Delivery is deemed complete once the share code has been sent to the email address provided at checkout. You are responsible for ensuring your email address is correct at the time of purchase and for saving your share code securely.

Your purchase gives you access to the template as it exists at the time of purchase. Templates are delivered as a snapshot and do not update automatically. Any future changes I make to the original design will not sync to your installed template. Significant redesigns or new versions may be released as separate products.
8. Payment & Payment Plans
All payments are processed securely through Stripe in GBP. By using Stripe to complete your purchase, you agree to be bound by Stripe's applicable terms and conditions. I do not store your payment details. If you purchase via a payment plan, your share code will be delivered after your first payment. You remain legally obligated to complete all remaining instalments in full, regardless of whether you continue to use the template. I reserve the right to take appropriate action to recover any outstanding payments. I reserve the right to update pricing on future purchases at any time.
9. Support
Your purchase includes access to written and video tutorials to guide you through setup. I provide limited email support for technical questions directly related to the template. This does not include design customisation or content creation. If you require additional support, further services are available at an additional cost.
10. Intellectual Property
All template designs, graphics, and associated materials remain the intellectual property of Lains Creative. Your licence permits use of the template for your own single licensed website only. You may not reproduce, modify for redistribution, or use any element of the template outside of its intended purpose.
11. Termination of Licence
Although the nature of digital delivery means I am unable to technically retrieve a share code once issued, I reserve the right to terminate your licence to use this template at any time if you are found to be in breach of these terms, including but not limited to reselling, redistributing, or using the template for prohibited purposes. Continued use of the template following termination of your licence will constitute infringement of my intellectual property rights.
12. Your Content & Legal Responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all content, images, text, and branding you add to your website comply with copyright law and all applicable regulations. This includes ensuring you own the rights to, or hold a valid licence for, any images you use on your website. I am not responsible for any legal issues arising from content you publish using this template.
13. No Guarantee of Results
Purchasing a template does not guarantee website traffic, enquiries, or business growth. Results depend on your content, marketing, audience, and other factors outside of my control.
14. Chargebacks
You agree to contact me at lucy@lainscreative.co.uk to attempt to resolve any issue before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider. In the event of a chargeback, I reserve the right to provide evidence of your purchase, template delivery, and agreement to these terms to the relevant financial institution.
15. Template Provided "As Is"
Templates are provided in good faith and are designed to function correctly within the Showit platform at the time of purchase. I make no warranty that the template will meet every specific requirement of your business, or that it will remain unaffected by future changes to the Showit platform.
16. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
My liability in connection with any template purchase is limited to the purchase price paid. I am not liable for any loss of business, loss of profits, website downtime, data loss, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the template. By purchasing, you agree to indemnify and hold Lains Creative harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the template or any content you publish on your website.
17. Force Majeure
I will not be held liable for any failure or delay in delivering your template or fulfilling any obligation under these terms where that failure or delay results from circumstances beyond my reasonable control, including but not limited to platform outages, internet disruptions, or other technical failures outside of my control.
18. Affiliate Disclosure
I may share a Showit affiliate link with you as part of your purchase journey. If you sign up to Showit using my link, you will receive your first month free and I will receive a referral fee from Showit. This is at no extra cost to you. I only recommend Showit because I genuinely use and believe in the platform.
19. Reviews & Testimonials
I may invite you to share a review or testimonial following your purchase. By submitting a review, you grant Lains Creative permission to use it for marketing purposes, including on my website and social media channels.
20. Privacy
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://lainscreative.co.uk/privacy-policy
21. International Purchases
These templates are available to purchase from outside the United Kingdom. If you are purchasing from outside the UK, you are responsible for ensuring your use of the template complies with the laws of your own jurisdiction. These terms remain governed by the laws of England & Wales regardless of your location.
22. Age
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from Lains Creative.
23. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. In the event of a dispute, please contact me in the first instance so we can work together to find a resolution. Where a resolution cannot be reached, the matter will be referred to mediation before any legal proceedings are commenced.
24. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses will continue to apply in full.

- You may not resell, redistribute, or share this template with any third party
- You may not claim the design as your own original work
- No part of this template may be extracted or repurposed for use on any website or project beyond the single licensed site
- If you require the template for more than one website or business, an additional licence must be purchased
- All demo images are for display purposes only and must be replaced with your own licensed images
- If you are a designer purchasing this template for use on a client project, this licence covers your use only. Each end client requires their own separate licence purchased directly from Lains Creative
4. Prohibited Use

- I am not responsible for any issues arising from your Showit account, Showit subscription status, or third-party integrations you add to your website
- Any third-party tools or plugins used in conjunction with your template are used entirely at your own risk
